The story of Munchkin Ginkgo

Munchkin Ginkgo, a dwarf Ginkgo selection also known as Ginkgo biloba 'Chris's Dwarf', has the smallest leaves of all the dwarf Ginkgos, one quarter the normal size. 'Munchkin' has a semi upright shape with outwardly oriented branches and densly packed leaves. The result is a somewhat irregular compact shape. It can be trained as a small tree or as a multistem shrub. It is very slow growing, about four inches a year, and ultimately only reaching 6 feet in height. 'Chris's Dwarf' was reportedly found by Crispin Silva of Crispin's Creations Nursery in Molalla, OR and named after his son Chris.
